School started yesterday but I want to talk about my last few precious days of summer. After spending 12 weeks of my summer at my internship with Abbott Vascular in Temecula, CA I was ready for a much needed break...

I spent the first few days showing the midwest interns around Northern California. We stayed at my house in Sacramento and then made day trips to Tahoe and San Francisco. Sacramento is such a great location because it is only about 1.5 hours away from both. In Tahoe we went to Emerald Bay, went kayaking, hiked to a waterfall, and went to the top of Heavenly- it was a beautiful view! In San Francisco I showed them all the touristy things- we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, we ate in Chinatown, drove down Lombard street, and eat crepes at Haight and Ashbury.

I spent the rest of summer with my family in Sacramento and in VEGAS celebrating my 21st birthday. I went with some of my friends from school and we stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. This was my first time in Vegas and it was a great experience. We had so much fun and it was a great way to end the summer.

Now I'm all moved in to my apartment and ready for school!
