vTHiNK Digest (March 21-March 29)

Our bloggers have been busy the past few weeks with lots of midterms, work, and adventures during spring break (Elizabeth even went to Europe!).

Over spring break:

  • Stephanie decided to head south for spring break and had a blast in Mexico, while Sarah went to Miami!
  •  Evan had a busy spring break snowboarding but took a tough fall, and Dan went sailing to Catalina Island
  • Mark went on a road trip, while Jay spent some time back home and watched his friend on CNN!

Since we've been back:

  • Jay and Evan have been following March Madness closely
  •  Dan took a break from engineering classes to learn how to cook
  • Allison is looking forward to going to Hawaii this week

Also, be sure to follow your favorite bloggers on Twitter!

vTHiNK Digest (Feb 22 - March 1)

The month of February ended for our bloggers (and it couldn't have come quicker for John and Mark). But not everyone was excited to see the month come to an end as our bloggers explored different labs and reflected on the week.

  •  Pat explored space (well, not really, but went to visit SpaceX with the Rocket Propulsion Lab) and Sarah got to see that computer science labs can be a lot of fun.
  • Dan taught some elementary students the fine art of engineering paper airplanes
  • Stephanie had a reunion with old friends while Elizabeth contemplated the future
  • Jay met the producer of 300 and 10,000 BC while checking out some student businesses and Farzana is showcasing her skills at the National Academy of Engineering Summit on the Grand Challenges of Engineering at Duke.

vTHiNK Digest (Oct.20 - Oct. 26)

With less than a week left in October (although you would never have guessed it was almost November with the weather we've been having- just ask Elizabeth) midterms are winding down and our bloggers are getting out and about in LA

  • Ann headed to the beach, Laguna Beach that is, while Jay paid Korea Town a visit (it's not far from campus at all!), JZ went to Saddleranch for some delicious food and bull riding action, and Sarah went to a very exciting place-TEXAS!
  • Kelly was meeting Survivor celebrities who were fighting for a cause here on campus
  • Our friend Fuz is pondering the worldwide ramifications of the upcoming election as she discusses it with her new friends in Ireland
  • Evan is wrapping up midterms and excited about his future electrical engineering class as Alison pours concrete in one of her labs and Mark prepares for a rough week ahead

Check them out and enjoy the week ahead!

Later Days!

vTHiNK Digest (Oct. 13 - Oct 19)

According to Stephanie's calculations, we are halfway through with the semester.  At this point everyone is dealing with school and maintaining some pretty active extra-curricular lifestyles:

  • Kelly walked to the world premier of High School Musical III, while Elizabeth took the subway to see Wicked at the Pantages.
  • Ann is contracting senioritis and JZ just found out that she is actually a senior.  Watch out JZ, it is contagious.
  • John gives the gift of vision to a robot.
  • Dan shows 7th graders how fun optics can be with pinhole cameras.
  • Writing is serious business for Sarah, Mark, Pat, and Alison.
  • Evan attends a special lecture with Sidney Harmon, of Harman/Kardon Inc.
  • Jay ditches the library for a hike in the coastal mountains.
  • Farzana is trying to figure out what her Irish professors are saying.
